Nerpa writes these minutes from your call recording.
Record the call, and the decisions and action items are extracted for you - no pasting, no typing.
What goes into meeting minutes
Good minutes are short. They are not a transcript - they are the five things everyone will look for tomorrow:
- Summary. Two or three sentences on what the meeting was about and where it landed.
- Decisions. Each decision on its own line, so nothing agreed in the room gets relitigated later.
- Action items. A table with an owner, the task, and a due date. No owner means no action item.
- Open questions. What was raised but not resolved, so it gets its own slot next time.
- Next meeting. The date, or "not specified" if it is not scheduled yet.
Paste your rough notes into the form above and the generator arranges them into this structure, or grab a blank template and fill it in yourself.
Example: minutes of a weekly sync
This is what the generator produces - the same structure works without JavaScript, so you can copy it right from here:
# Weekly sync Date: 2026-10-31 Attendees: Anna, Boris, Chen ## Summary Reviewed the beta launch checklist. The billing integration is the only open blocker; everything else is done or in review. ## Decisions - Launch moves to Thursday to leave room for billing testing. - Beta invite list stays at 50 users. ## Action items | Owner | Task | Due | | --- | --- | --- | | Anna | Finish billing integration tests | Wed | | Boris | Send beta invites | Thu | | Chen | Draft launch email | Thu | ## Open questions - Do we cap free-tier uploads at launch? ## Next meeting Thursday, same time
FAQ
What is a meeting minutes template?
A fixed structure for writing up a meeting: title, date, attendees, a short summary, decisions, action items with owners, open questions, and the next meeting. A template keeps every write-up complete and comparable.
How do I write minutes of a meeting?
Capture rough notes during the meeting, then right after it rewrite them into the structure above: summary first, then decisions, then action items with an owner and a due date each. Send within a few hours while the context is fresh.
Is my text saved?
No. Your notes are sent for generation, the minutes come back to the page, and nothing is stored - not the notes, not the result. Nothing is used for training.
Can I use this for standups?
Yes. Pick Standup as the meeting type and the minutes follow a standup format: what each person did, what they plan to do, and blockers. There are also formats for one-on-ones, client calls, and retrospectives.
Is the generator really free?
Yes - 3 generated minutes per day, no account and no payment. Blank templates are unlimited.
Can I get a blank template without entering notes?
Yes. Choose a meeting type and click Get blank template. You get an empty structure with headings and an action items table that you can fill in yourself.
